First of all if someone write...I have to disagree

First of all if someone write's something on Ricardo's JVM and that isn't certified and isn't aware of it not being he is either an idiot or a groppy, why will you rely on a non-standard compiler? take for example C, the first thing any sane programmer does went looking at a new compiler is ask "is this ANSI C" compliant?, I don't see why that can't happen with Java too.

About windows "packages" that's a false statement, they are many many installers all doing their thing, they just look like one because they are all wizards with next, next continue, yes, etc. And come on they suck they overwrite stuff have multiple copies of the same lib and some don't even uninstall correctly (that's one of the reasons why windows installations tend to grow),

anyway forking is good, forking is great it can let a dying software revive into a new project, it can create better apps and explore new things.

your comparison to the linux distros is bias for ones distrowatch has 1000s of distros that is it's purpose but people determine what's good and that is what stays.

Take for example knoppix forking knoppix is the way to extend it, you remaster your disk and it has your set of apps that you like.

Last but not least a friend of mine ones said if something is good people will build on top of it and change it, that's why Debian is the best distro that has been made.maehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10879711379090472478noreply@blogger.com
